I'm the owner of The Simple Touches and I've been surrounded by real estate since I was little. I grew up getting paid $5 an hour to put labels on postcards for my parents' farm!
 
My very first (real) job was at the front desk of their market center and I've had many roles within RE throughout my life (front desk, agents' personal assistant, auditor, assistant market center administrator, etc.) In 2001, my parents opened up the first Keller Williams brokerage in Northern California.
 
After graduating from UC Irvine with a mathematics degree, I was an 8th grade math teacher for 6 years, including 4 years in Bogotá, Colombia where I moved up to instructional design and coaching.
 
When my dad was diagnosed with ALS in 2020, I flew home to California to help my mom take care of him and the borders shut 3 days later due to covid, forcing me to make the challenging decision to quit my teaching career because I wanted to spend as much time with my father as I could.

I tried getting a desk job and hated it. I temped at my brother's KW Market Center's front desk to get things organized for their next permanent hire. I tried DoorDash and InstaCart shopping which no matter how fast I tried to go, I was barely covering the gas money it took to do the work. The only logical next step was to start my own business...
